THE TEPPANYAKI EXPERIENCE

The teppanyaki experience has had to change in order to accommodate all of the safety measures and guidelines needed as we are eased out of the current lockdown.
You will still find the same warm welcome, the familiar faces, and the fire and theatre of teppanyaki delivered by our team.

BEFORE YOU ARRIVE

All guests entering Miyako Teppanyaki, and any family with whom you live, must be symptom free.

The main symptoms of coronavirus are:

  • a high temperature

  • a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)

  • a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste

You can make a reservation to dine with us here at Miyako Teppanyaki through our website or by calling us directly on 0121 622 5183. We will be accepting walk-in guests (required to scan the NHS Track & Trace QR code at the entrance lobby) and you will be required to provide your name and contact details. We reserve the right to refuse any guests displaying any Covid symptoms. By making a reservation at Miyako Teppanyaki you agree that your party are from no more than two households.

We are accepting reservations on the hour on Saturday evenings and are operating on a limited number of guests being in the restaurant at any one time.

ARRIVAL

We kindly request that you arrive at the time of your reservation and not to arrive early or late wherever possible. Once you arrive please scan the NHS Track & Trace QR code, which will be displayed in the entrance lobby. Please wait where the relevant signage is displayed and you will be shown straight to your table. When entering the restaurant please ensure you are wearing a face mask (unless exempt) and anytime you are standing/walking in the restaurant. We will be operating a table service only policy and will not allow guests to visit the bar for drinks or food orders.

There is an automatic hand sanitising unit available in the entrance lobby that we encourage all guests to use on arrival as well as departure. There are also touch free hand sanitising dispensers and regular dispensers available throughout the restaurant.

Your table will be set after your arrival and once you are fully seated, cutlery/disposable chopsticks and plates will be brought to the table in order to minimise the risk of cross contamination.

Unfortunately we will be unable to hang your coat in our cloakroom and it will have to be taken with you to your table.

We strongly insist that all children remain seated throughout the visit.

We recommend that payment is made via card or contactless methods where possible.

SOCIAL DISTANCING

We will be operating with the 1 metre rule at all times where it is completely practical. However, in order to serve our guests, we will have to recognise and accept that 1 metre is not always possible, especially when pouring wine, serving dishes and payment. In such cases, staff will not stay near the table/guests for longer than they have to.

Unfortunately our chefs will not be inviting guests around to the Teppan (hot plate) to participate in the cooking for the time being.

AT THE BAR

Our bar will only be used to prepare drinks to be brought to your table and to prepare bills etc. We will take your order from your seat/table.

AT YOUR TABLE

There will be hand sanitiser placed on each table/side table as well as wall mounted touch free hand sanitising dispensers in the restaurant. A disposable dinner and drinks menu will be placed on the table for you.

TOILETS

We will be operating a one in, one out system in our toilets.

We have installed touch free hand soap dispensers in the ladies, gents and disabled toilets. We will also have antibacterial wipes in the toilets that we kindly request you wipe the toilet seat prior to departing the cubicle to be disposed of in the bin. This will greatly help to reduce the risk on cross contamination between users.

PAYMENT

You will pay via credit/debit card where possible and the card machine will be wiped down between uses with an antibacterial wipe.
